- : Details of the India trip would be best served by their own post (which I probably won't get around to). I'll just say that I'm glad I live in the US with (comparatively) clean air and sane traffic patterns. But I did get to see tigers in a very natural-feeling habitat at Bannerghatta National Park. They drove us around a huge park in a caged-off bus so that we could see the Lions, Tigers, and Bears (Oh my, I couldn't resist). Of course I was most interested in the Tigers.
The cool part was that the driver was pretty much taking my queue for when to drive and when to stop. He'd stop to point out animals, I'd spend 2-3 minutes snapping pictures, then he'd drive on. The not cool part was that they demanded an extra 500 rupees each (for the driver and the tour guide) after the ride. I probably would've paid that amount up-front if they had asked, but it felt kind of wrong to get put on the spot afterward.
Anyway, here is a small taste of the tigers. I may post more later (but I probably won't). |
